This variety has been developed for different regions of the Russian Federation combining high productivity with high-quality seeds and disease resistance. Since 2007 it has been included in the State Register of protected varieties (RF patent number 3510), approved for the use in production.
Variety pedigree: The variety was obtained by individual selection in F2 LG 3300 x Galant hybrid combination.
Botanical characteristics. The plant height is average . The plant is without anthocyanin coloration. Hypocotyl anthocyanin coloration is average. The leaf is green, no anthocyanin and indumentum, with strong waxy coat. The lacinia development and leaf margin serration are moderate. The petal is yellow
The anthers have an average blotch level. The flowering time is average. The pod length (without the beak) is average. The seeds are round and black. 1000 seeds weight is 2.4-3.5 g.
Biological features. The variety is mid-season, the growing period is 85-100 days. The lodging resistance index is high, the seed shattering index is also high. One of its most prominent features is a high degree of adaptation to the agro-climatic conditions of the regions of the European part of Russia and Eastern Siberia. The susceptibility to Alternaria and Peronosporales is weak, the variety is moderately resistant to Fusarium. It can be heavily damaged by cruciferous flea beetles. The variety is averagely damaged by rape blossom beetle.
Competitiveness. Due to the high productivity potential and adaptability, as well as to high seed quality "Accord" variety is quite competitive in the North-West, Volga-Vyatka , Ural and East-Siberian regions, where this variety has been added to the State Register and approved for the use in production.
Main advantages. High yielding with the high oil and oilseed meal quality, this variety is technologically oriented for mechanical harvesting and is recommended for cultivation for seed and fodder purposes; during the field trials conducted by FSBI ARIR the variety provided a 2,38 t/ha yield which was higher than the yield of Ratnik variety (the standard) by 0,17 t/ha or by 7,7%.
Variety type "00". The oil contains practically no erucic acid. The content of glucosinolates in the seeds is 0,45-0,81% (10,5-18,9 mmol / g). The content of seed crude fat is 44,3-46,4%, seed protein is 21,8-23,9%.
Commercial value The commercial value of the variety is its high seed and fodder efficiency, the same as the quality of its oil and meal (cake), its resistance to major diseases and the technology of its cultivation and harvesting.
