Competitiveness. Due to its high potential of productivity and adaptability, high seed quality variety “Luch” is quite competitive in the North, Volga-Vyatka and Western Siberian regions, that is why it has been introduced in the State Register.
Main advantages. Yield, high-quality oil and seeds, the variety is technologically oriented and suitable for mechanical harvesting. It is recommended for cultivation for seed and animal feed purposes.
During the field trials conducted by FSBI ARIR variety “Luch” (2002-2007 gg.) had a seed yield of 1.94 t / ha which exceeded Ratnik variety yield by 0.01 t / ha or 0.5%. The highest seed yield of 3.40 t / ha was obtained in 2011 by the SES of Tomsk (Tomsk region).
Variety type "00". The content of erucic acid in the oil is 0,01-0,40% , the content of glucosinolates in the seeds is 0,54-0,71% (12,6-16,6 mmol / g). The content of crude fat in the seeds is 40,3-45,8% , the protein in the seeds is 20,5-25,8%.
The commercial value of variety “Luch” is in its high seed and feed efficiency, as in its high oil and seed quality, its high resistance to major diseases, its technology of cultivation and harvesting.
